Good Day Warriors!
How are you feeling today? Are you able to get out and enjoy this gorgeous Fall weather?
Here in Pennsylvania, our leaves are just starting to turn. We have had an unusually warm autumn. No frost as of yet to make the leaves really colorful. However, it is the perfect weather for walking.
Any campers out there? Fall is my very favorite time of year to get out in the woods and camp. I was fortunate to be able to go camping with our daughter and family a few weeks ago and we had a blast! They had a ton of kids' activities which was great for our crew. My grandsons loved making the crafts the best.
I hope that you had a chance to check out the new chocolaty and yummy "chocolate cake in a mug" recipe that I just posted. Let me know how you like it!
Today, I am featuring a story from a woman named Cindy who found relief from PMR in a natural supplement called Teasel Root. I had never heard of it so I am not promoting it. I am featuring her story to show you that there may be other alternatives to treatment out there other than the traditional one (Prednisone) that is currently offered.
Weekly, I see questions from folks wondering about non-traditional ways to treat PMR. Exploring holistic medicine with a qualified physician in this area of expertise is always an option for those of us who are searching for alternatives for PMR pain and treatment.
Just make sure that whatever you take, that there are not any interactions with other medications and supplements and health conditions that you may have.
So without further ado, here is Cindy's story!
I was diagnosed last year right at the height of Covid (1 1/2 years ago).
I was started on 50 mg of prednisone and I hated every day of being on it because of the side effects.
I read an article on Teasel Root and how great it was for Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis and even Lymes disease.
I was still on 5 mg of Prednisone but was thinking about increasing my dose because of the pain. So instead, I decided to try the Teasel Root for my PMR.
In 4 weeks I was off the prednisone!!!
My husband one day looked at me and said welcome back!
I asked him what he meant and he said you look and act like you did before this disease hit you!
Thank you Teasel for giving me my life back!!!
I still have a ways to go to get my strength back like before but I'll take it a day at a time.
Your story is truly amazing Cindy!! I hope that you are still doing fantastic in your recovery. Thank you for sharing your unusual journey with us.
Have a wonderful week folks. Go easy on yourself!
